ABOUT THE DOCUMENT The hosting rights of the following events from 2015 - 2018 are now available and open for bidding: - 2016 ITTF - Oceania Cup - 2016 ITTF - Oceania Championships - 2016 ITTF - Oceania Olympic Qualifjcation - 2017 ITTF - Oceania Cup - 2017 ITTF - Oceania Junior Championships - 2017 ITTF - PTT Oceania Para Table Tennis Regional Championships - 2018 ITTF - Oceania Cup - 2018 ITTF - Oceania Championships These top continental events are sanctioned by the International Table Tennis Federation and Oceania Table Tennis Federation, and will be a valuable addition to your sporting calendar for the year. We would like to invite all interested cities and organisations to bid for the hosting rights of each individual event. Bids for multiple events or multiple years are welcome. In this document you will fjnd out more information on the history of the events and brief hosting requirements.   9. ITTF-OCEANIA EVENTS EVENT 1: ITTF- OCEANIA CUP QUALIFICATION FOR THE PRESTIGIOUS ITTF WORLD CUP The annual ITTF-Oceania Cup brings together the best 8 Men and 8 Women from the region to compete. The winner will have the honour of representing Oceania in the ITTF Men / Women World Cups . The ITTF Men’s World Cup and Women’s World Cup are World Title invitational events, considered one of the “Grand Slams” of Table Tennis. 19 top players from around the world are invited to the annual events, including the 6 Continental Champions. Event Duration: 2 Days Estimated Participation: Approx. 50 participants and offjcials The ITTF - Oceania Cup will be held in: 2016, 2017, 2018 Page 9

  10. ITTF-OCEANIA EVENTS EVENT 2: ITTF- OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFICATION FOR THE ITTF WORLD TEAM CUP The ITTF-Oceania Championships consists of Teams and Individual events. The Winning Team also qualifjes for the biennial ITTF World Team Cup representing Oceania. The ITTF World Team Cup is the World Title invitational Team event held once every 2 years, when the World Team Championships are not held. The top 12 Men’s and Women’s teams from around the world are invited to this exclusive event, qualifying through their respective continental event. Event Duration: 6 Days Estimated Participation: Approx. 120 participants and offjcials The ITTF - Oceania Championships will be held in: 2016, 2018 Page 10

ITTF-OCEANIA EVENTS EVENT 3: ITTF- OCEANIA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFICATION FOR THE ITTF WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS The ITTF-Oceania Junior Championships is held every two years, on alternate years with the senior Championships. Young talents from all over Oceania gather to compete with the best of their age groups, in an intense competition not unlike their senior counterparts. Event Duration: 4 Days Estimated Participation: Approx. 90 participants and offjcials The ITTF - Oceania Junior Championships will be held in: 2017 Page 11

ITTF-OCEANIA EVENTS EVENT 4: OCEANIA OLYMPIC GAMES QUALIFICATION TOURNAMENT OLYMPIC GAMES QUALIFICATION The Oceania Olympic Games Qualifjcation Tournament sees athletes from Oceania countries striving to qualify for the Table Tennis Singles Events at the Summer Olympic Games . The next Olympic Games will be held in Rio in 2016 . The Olympic Games need no introduction as one of the greatest sporting event in the world, and it is one of the highest sporting honour and achievement for an athlete to represent their country in the Olympic Games. Event Duration: 4 Days Estimated Participation: Approx. 40 participants and offjcials The Oceania Olympic Games Qualifjcation Tournament will be held in: 2016 Page 12

ITTF-OCEANIA EVENTS EVENT 5: ITTF-PTT OCEANIA PARA TABLE TENNIS REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS PARALYMPIC GAMES QUALIFICATION & WORLD PARA TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFICATION The ITTF-PTT Oceania Para Table Tennis Regional Championships are held bi- annually, on odd numbered years. The event brings together elite athletes with a disability, and provides the pathway to qualifjcation for the World Para Table Tennis Championships (2018). Event Duration: 5 Days (including Classifjcation requirements) Estimated Participation: Approx. 80 participants, offjcials, and accompanying persons The ITTF-PTT Oceania Para Table Tennis Regional Championships will be held in 2017 Page 13

BID PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS To ensure a high standard for these top continental events held in Oceania, the ITTF and OTTF are seeking hosting cities/nations/organisations that have the dedication and expertise to organise the events. TV PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum TV Production: Semi Finals to Finals Minimum number of Cameras: 5, including main camera Commentators TV Graphics TV Production is compulsary for ITTF-Oceania Cup and Olympic Qualifjcation Tournament. For all other events, it is not compulsary but including TV Production will greatly boost the bid. The detailed TV Production guidelines will be sent on request. Page 19
