Quality Matters™ (QM) is: nationally-recognized, faculty-centered, research-based, and focused on course design (online, CBE and blended).

Team Consists of:
- Master Reviewer (Chair)
- SME Peer Reviewer
- Peer Reviewer

- Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) Workshop
– Identify the underlying principles of QM. – Identify the critical elements of the QM quality assurance program, including the QM Rubric, materials, processes, and administrative components. – Apply the QM Rubric to review online courses. – Make decisions on whether the sample course meets selected QM Rubric Standards. – Apply the concept of alignment. – Draft helpful recommendations for course improvement by citing annotations from the QM Rubric and evidence from the course.
- Peer Reviewer Online Course (PRC)
QM Professional Development
- QM certifications on previously-reviewed SCC courses have expired
- All eCourse Design & Development Instructional Designers (IDs) are QM trained
- Internal reviews are completed on all courses developed or revised by eCourse
Design & Development
- Online, CBE and Hybrid templates and design processes are grounded in the latest
QM Standards
- Sinclair is part of the Ohio QM Consortium
Current Status of QM at Sinclair
- Open to Ohio colleges and universities that utilize the
QM Rubric to improve online courses in a variety of ways
- Has grown to over 60 institutions and is currently the largest QM state
consortium in the nation

Ohio Quality Matters Consortium
- Grow awareness of QM on campus
- Provide QM professional development
– Offer APPQMR (2+ times) – October 5, 2018 and Spring Term – Sign up through CTL
- Form a Sinclair QM Advisory Committee
– Members selected by eCourse Design & Development manager – Will consist of eLearning Division staff and Divisional representatives
- must have developed/taught online, CBE and/or hybrid
- must have completed APPQMR and/or are QM Peer Reviewers
- Submit Sinclair courses for official QM reviews
