COVID-19 Compliance > As part of the Federal government’s Coronavirus Guidance for America, transportation infrastructure is considered an “Essential Critical Infrastructure.” > Additionally, transit capital projects are not subject to the State of California’s Stay at Home order, therefore Metro construction projects continue to progress. Updated personal protective equipment (PPE) 3

COVID-19 Compliance > Construction activities continue to progress on all active Metro projects, including the Crenshaw/LAX, Purple Line Extension and Regional Connector Transit Projects. > Due to reduced traffic conditions during the Stay at Home orders, local jurisdictions are allowing the Agency to work through “peak hours” on a case by case basis. > Metro’s contractors are following safety precautions during the pandemic, including implementing social distancing when applicable and the use of masks and other PPE. 4

  30. Oil Well Investigation and Research During community outreach meetings in 2018, we outlined plans for investigating underground wells at the BHHS. As part of the EIS/EIR phase, the Project Team:  Reviewed historic maps and photographs,  Researched geological data bases,  Obtained historic well records and consulted petroleum industry experts 30

Potential for Encountering Abandoned Oil Wells during Tunneling What has been done?  Other historic maps with oil well locations have been obtained and evaluated  The subway has been aligned to avoid the documented oil well locations  Magnetometer surveys have been performed along the alignment to screen for the presence of oil well casing 31
