No longer a child, but not yet an adult. Greater sense of independence and awareness of self. Physical changes, but also a time
development. By age 15, a girl can think in more complex ways about what is possible and how the world works. She will start to develop a sense of right and wrong and use it to make decisions. But sometimes she will act without a lot
at organising herself. Many girls this age do a good job as they juggle school, activities, and work.

As is the standard practice at Marymount, if a student feels ill during the School day, she must see the School Nurse before contacting parents/guardians. The School will notify parents/guardians to make appropriate arrangements for a student whom is too unwell to stay at School. Students are asked not to make their own arrangements to leave School before seeing the School Nurse. If a student needs to arrive late, or leave before the end of the School day, i.e. for a dentist appointment, they must seek permission to do so. Towards this end, parents/guardians are asked to notify the School Secretary of early departure or late arrival arrangements. It is respectfully requested that notification is given by 8.25am on the day in question. These policies have been put in place to support the welfare of all Marymount students, as their wellbeing and safety are our number one priority.
