The Marymount London Pastoral System

  • At Marymount who we are teaching is just as important as what we are

teaching.

  • We nurture each individual and foster an awareness and appreciation
  • f the unique needs and gifts of everyone.
  • Our community is purposefully small; a positive relationship among all

community members is at the heart of all we do.

  • The social-emotional development of our girls—attention to her sense of

self, her personality, her relationships—guides our pastoral care.

  • All Faculty and Staff share a pastoral responsibility.

Reminder: early departure & late arrival

As is the standard practice at Marymount, if a student feels ill during the School day, she must see the School Nurse before contacting parents/guardians. The School will notify parents/guardians to make appropriate arrangements for a student whom is too unwell to stay at School. Students are asked not to make their own arrangements to leave School before seeing the School Nurse. If a student needs to arrive late, or leave before the end of the School day, i.e. for a dentist appointment, they must seek permission to do so. Towards this end, parents/guardians are asked to notify the School Secretary of early departure or late arrival arrangements. It is respectfully requested that notification is given by 8.25am on the day in question. These policies have been put in place to support the welfare of all Marymount students, as their wellbeing and safety are our number one priority.
