AP RESEARCH

OVERVIEW

Allows students to explore an academic topic or issue of individual interest. Through exploration students design, plan, and conduct a year long investigation to address a research question. Students will work independently and possibly consult with an expert adviser in the field to conduct an in-depth investigation of topic or issue. Students will use a process and reflection portfolio to document their inquiry processes, communication with teachers and experts, and individual reflections. *AP Seminar is a prerequisite for this course

DIPLOMA: A student can receive an AP Capstone Diploma by: Scoring a 3 or higher on FOUR AP Exams AND Completing AP Seminar and Research CERTIFICATE: A student can earn the AP Capstone Certificate by: Taking and scoring a 3 or higher on BOTH AP Seminar and Research
