Homework for Week 8 Presentations: Background to the 1920s

Next week, we will have presentations on four topics: 1 Prohibition and Organized Crime 2 African Americans in the 1920s 3 Changing Roles of Women in the 1920s 4 Zelda Sayre Here are some guidelines:

  • Presentations should be about 10 minutes.
  • Two or three students will serve as presenters for their groups.
  • There will be time for Q & A. Class members are expected to ask questions. During the Q & A session, all

group members will answer questions.

  • Presentations should include PowerPoint / Keynote slides. (Please let me know in advance if you need to

use sound / video.) Handouts are optional.

  • All presentations will be evaluated by the class. Grades for presentations will be based on the teacher’s

and the class’s evaluations.

  • All groups must submit a presentation outline that includes the following information:

1 Title of Presentation 2 Names of group members, roles (project leader, researcher, presenter, etc.) and research contribution 3 Outline of the presentation 4 List of sources MLA (8th edition format)
