  2. Alaska Rush Return To Play Plan: Mission To review best practices and available information for returning to play safely, in accordance with Phase 4 of the Municipality of Anchorage guidelines. The plan will remain fluid to changing needs through checking and validating the plan as the Municipality of Anchorage moves from one Phase to another.

  3. Alaska Rush Return To Play Plan: US Youth Soccer Guidelines US Youth Soccer Guidelines The information in the Alaska Rush Return To Play Plan is NOT intended or implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content, including text, graphics, images, and information, are provided for general informational purposes only. The knowledge and circumstances around COVID-19 are changing constantly and, as such, US Youth Soccer and Alaska Youth Soccer makes no representation and assumes no responsibility for the completeness of this information. Further, you should seek advice from medical professionals and/or public health officials in your area if you have specific questions. These guidelines address only early phases of return-to-play and additional guidelines may, or may not, follow as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve. Although the young and healthy may be subject to less severe cases of COVID-19, every case of this disease is potentially life-altering or deadly, particularly in those with risk factors that may occur within our communities. Health consequences may be long-standing and only apparent weeks after initial infection and recovery. Until COVID-19 is either eradicated, a vaccine is developed, or a cure is found, there is no way of eliminating the risk of infection. The continued presence of the risk of infection is at the forefront of the Alaska Rush Return To Play Plan. The risks of participation will be clearly communicated to parents and participants in Alaska Rush Soccer Club through the Return To Play Plan, email and social media communication, waiver language, and verbal communication from the Technical Director and all coaches on staff. USYS State Associations and Alaska Rush Soccer Club are aware of and adhere to all Federal, State, and Local guidelines and requirements.

  4. Alaska Rush Return To Play Plan: Alaska Youth Soccer Guidelines Alaska Youth Soccer Guidelines Alaska Youth Soccer's highest priority is to ensure we provide a healthy and safe environment for activity within our soccer programs and leagues. AYSA will refrain from making any decision without first considering all information available from our national governing bodies along with the Federal, State, and Local guidelines and requirements As the Alaska governing body of youth soccer, we do not take lightly how the decisions we make have a potential impact on our membership including our affiliate members. As we start the process of Return to Play (RTP) Protocols we will as a state association adhere to all Federal, State, and Local guidelines and requirements. Given the changing pandemic environment, these guidelines may change at any time and clubs/ leagues will need to ensure that they have plan in place to communicate with their members, staff, and coaches should there be a temporary closure of programs statewide. Reminder the RTP will adhere to State gathering restrictions by reducing the total number of participants in activities to no more than the number allowed by the State. Maintain a six (6) foot physical distance among participants where possible and between youth, coaches, and parents or spectators. Due to physical activity in sports, social distancing is increased to ten (10) feet. Affiliate Clubs and Leagues will need to ensure they are current in their membership and have the proper Certificates of Insurance (COI) in place prior to starting any sanctioned club or league activity. Given the changing pandemic environment, these guidelines may change at any time.

  6. Alaska Rush Return To Play Plan: Protocols & Requirements Return to Play Protocols for Phase 4 ● Players should use own soccer ball when possible ● Players should set apart bag from others ● Players should only use their equipment ● Players should never share water bottles or snacks ● Player should not do group celebrations, NO high 5s, hugs, handshakes, and other behavior that break social distancing ● Players should use hand sanitizer before, during and after training and can wear a face mask if desired ● Players should practice social distancing when off the field, however will be allowed to participate fully when in games and trainings ● Players will not assist with equipment set up or breakdown ● Participants will limit carpooling to only members of the same family ● Due to parking lot constraints and social distancing considerations in Phase 4, parents can drop off and pick up participants and are encouraged to stay in their cars to allow for social distancing on sidelines ● Gear and equipment should be washed and sanitized before each training or activity ● All participants have signed/submitted the Health Status Agreement (Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement) to the Technical Director of Alaska Rush Soccer Club ● Parent/Guardian to notify club/ league immediately if their child becomes ill for any reason ● If any participant, staff, parent, or spectator is sick or feels sick or is an at-risk individual please STAY HOME

  7. Alaska Rush Return To Play Plan: Protocols & Requirements Minimum Requirements ● Symptoms: Any coach, player, parent, referee and or spectator who is sick, has a persistent cough, is running a temperature or is displaying any symptoms suggesting that the individual may be ill, (from any contagious malady, including cold, flu, or suspected coronavirus) will be prohibited from attending training or games. Any coach or administrator who sees any adult attendee who displays any of these symptoms should be politely but firmly asked to leave. A minor who is displaying any of these symptoms should be safely isolated until an adult responsible for the minor can remove the minor. Everyone should be monitoring symptoms daily, and if athlete, coach or someone in household shows any signs/symptoms of the novel coronavirus they should be staying at home for 14 days. ● Minimize physical touching between players and coaches: Coaches shall ensure, and all players and coaches avoid “high fives,” handshakes, or other types of physical touching. We understand that this may be difficult as players enjoy celebrating with their teammates (or even give them a hug after being apart for so long!), but we need to be diligent at enforcing this protocol for health and safety of our players and their families. ● Coaches encouraged but not required to wear masks during training sessions: Coaches are encouraged but not required to wear appropriate face coverings during training sessions. Players will also be allowed to wear masks while training, but this will be a personal choice of the player’s parent or guardian. ● Hand sanitizer: Players should have hand sanitizer for personal use. ● Avoid “shared” equipment like pinnies: Players should have their own alternate color training top or pinny – Pinnies should not be shared. Player should have their own ball, water bottle, towel, etc. ● Reduce players touching practice equipment: The handling of all training items, i.e., cones, flags, goals etc. should be limited to coaches.

  8. Alaska Rush Return To Play Plan: Protocols & Requirements Minimum Requirements ● Facility structures cleaning and use: Any facilities that are accessible during training and games should be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Other surfaces that are touched frequently should also be cleaned and disinfected at least daily. ● Social Distancing Oversight: Clubs should assign people to be physically present to monitor fields and facilities to politely but firmly ask any groups of parents or players to disperse and maintain appropriate distancing and that failure to do so risks the sanctioning and protection (including insurance) for the players and the club. ● More Information: For more information about guidance from the CDC, please visit the following links: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/ https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/community-mitigation-strategy.pdf
