  19. Landscaping Majority of storm tanks area is hardstanding for operational access. Gabion wall structure to act as barrier to remaining storm retention area. Advance tree planting at Warple Way already in place. Soft landscaping to be implemented along northern Canham Road boundary including native wildflower meadow planting and native tree species including oak, cherry, hornbeam and birch.

Tunnelling – Carnwath Road to Acton Tunnel Boring Machine, Rachel, was launched from Carnwath Road in May 2019 and is making her journey to our Acton Storm Tanks site: • Various planned stoppages in June/July/August to install temporary logistics railway and full tunnelling set up (e.g. conveyor belt system) • Distance tunnelled in a full productive week typically varies 130m-200m • Total tunnel length = 6.9km, currently at 2.9km TBM Location Approximate Dates Currently halfway between Putney Bridge and Today Hammersmith Bridge Passes beneath Hammersmith Bridge End-March Cuts inland northwards towards Acton Mid-May Passes to west of Stamford Brook tube station End-June Arrives at Acton August Updated information regarding tunnelling via email is being sent to residents every month since October 2019, and will continue throughout the project
