Recent Research

  • Research expectations

– Students could be high in AE for different reasons (e.g., personality, “customer” expectations, coping with academic demands, etc.)1, 2. – Clustering was done with six AE scales and the Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI).

  • Implications

– Findings may be able to help us understand student motivations behind AE and improve educational experiences and outcomes.

  • 1. Andry et al., 2012, 2. Wasieleski, Whatley, Briihl, & Branscome, 2014
