Why NTPEP is valuable to each AASHTO Member Department
- Combines the professional and physical resources of
the AASHTO Member Departments in order to evaluate materials, products and devices of common interest for use in highway and bridge construction
- Primary Goal- provide cost-effective evaluations for
the AASHTO Member Departments
- Simplify the product evaluation
process
- Make it more cost-effective for both
the manufacturer and the end user.
- Reduce duplication of effort by State
DOTs.
- Serve as a “One Stop Shop” for
Manufacturers of engineered products.

5 18 24 30 Paper Reports Online Reporting Fully implemented online submittal & real time data reporting capabilities (DataMine 2.0) Undergoing the design, development, and implantation of the next version of the online reporting database (DataMine 3.0) Audit Program is launched for HDPE Pipe and Rebar The following audit programs were launched in 2012: PVC Pipe, Welded Wire Reinforcement, Geotextiles, and Geosynthetic Reinforcement The following audit programs are being launched in 2015: Guardrail/Guiderail, Erosion Control Products, and Elastomeric Bridge Bearing Pads. The following evaluation programs are being launched: Warm Mix Additives, Spray Applied Pipe Liners, Sediment Retention Devices AASHTO Product Evaluation Listing (APEL) became part of NTPEP in 2013
