Through UeSW system, traders can now trace port clearance process and all movement along the corridor through RECTS introduced since 2015.

  12. Challenges and opportunities Cont’d 4. Trade barriers across the Northern corridor (Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya) in the form of weighbridges, police roadblocks and border crossings. Uganda implemented a system to report NTBs and real time intervention is coordinated at MTIC and Traders Information Portal that is linked with UeSW system provide guidance on regulatory requirements

  13. Challenges and opportunities Cont’d 5. One Stop Border posts for main entry and exit points. All services can be performed through these posts since UeSW that is connecting all Government Agencies can perform their verification and certification required through UeSW system. (Border crossing time reduced from 72 hours to less than 6 hours)
