6th Grade Accelerated Classes

  • Accelerated Reading and Language Arts
  • Accelerated Math: Pre-Algebra
  • Accelerated Science

Identification Criteria:

  • 85th Percentile or higher on standardized tests for past two (2) years
  • Students will be automatically placed if they meet this criteria
  • Twice Accelerated Math: Algebra
  • Students in the 95th % or higher for multiple tests will be invited to

take an entrance exam in the summer.

Electronics

  • Students are allowed to have electronics during passing time and in the

cafeteria

  • School is not responsible for lost of stolen electronics, students use at

their own risk

  • If the device needs to be taken away because of inappropriate use, the

child may lose his/her privilege to have electronics at school and an adult may need to come pick the device up from school

Parent and School Partnerships

○ A transitional period is expected

  • Monitor Progress

○ Use Infinite Campus and Canvas to monitor student success and/or needs ○ Check with teachers when needed ○ Help kids set up a home schedule to stay on top of their work ○ Talk with students about school specifics
