What is a Peer Ambassador?

A Peer Ambassador is a good role model! She or he proudly represents the 6 pillars of character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship A Peer Ambassador is a good friend! He or she is willing to help new students and meet new friends. A Peer Ambassador is happy to help! He or she helps Parkway staff by responsibly providing school service in a variety of rotating jobs A Peer Ambassador believes in being a Peacemaker! Peer Ambassadors will learn conflict resolution skills, practice them in their own lives, and teach them to others! A Peer Ambassador is a good leader AND a great team player! Our Peer Ambassadors represent Parkway when working with representatives from Frederick High’s Student Government

Ambassador School Service Roles

Media Center Morning Assistant

• Must arrive at 8:30 AM and check in with teacher
• Deliver books to classroom teachers
• Check in returned books
• Assist students in choosing books
• Help Ms. Clagett with returned books
• Respect confidentiality of student information

Kindergarten Arrival Assistant

• Must arrive at 8:30 AM and check in with teacher
• Help students unpack
• Respect confidentiality of student information

Ambassador School Service Roles

Kindergarten Dismissal Assistant

• Arrive at 3:15 PM
• Help pack up to go home
• Escorting students to their dismissal location
• Respect confidentiality of student information

Afternoon Hallway Monitors

• Arrive to post at 3:25 PM
• Direct students to their dismissal location
• Keep hallway traffic moving
• Assist staff to ensure hallway behavior expectations
• Respect confidentiality of student information

Ambassador School Service Roles

Dismissal Note Delivery Assistant

• Arrive at the front office at 3:20 PM
• Collect dismissal change notes from front office staff
• Deliver to assigned teachers
• Respect confidentiality of student information

Car Rider Assistant

• Report to staff member collecting car rider numbers at 3:20
• Collect the list of numbers
• Deliver to front office staff member announcing numbers
• Return copy of list to outside car rider staff member
• Able to stay until approximately 3:45 PM

Morning Announcements

• Arrive by 8:30 AM to unpack and complete morning work
• Report to Computer Lab
• Responsibilities include: Technical crew - sound, camera & director, Announcement

Peer Ambassador Application

• In order to be considered, 5th grade students will have to complete an application and

return it on time - September 13!

• Interested students and their parent(s)/guardian(s) must sign the agreement attached to

the application.

STUDENT AGREEMENT: I understand that my role as a Peer Ambassador is a privilege. Therefore, I also understand that my participation in the Peer Ambassador program could be suspended if I do not follow PES school rules to Respect Yourself, Respect Others, Respect Property.
