- Due to the dynamicity and evolution of the field, the project starts with baseline research (WP1)
to identify the state-of-art on Smart Sustainable Cities (SSC) worldwide research and education especially in the Partner countries.
- The preparation phase is followed by the development of the SSC roadmap, which is the basis for
designing and validating the training modules in WP2.
- The WP2 “Development of Training Modules” will deliver the MS2 by developing a roadmap on

- The content developed on WP2 will be the foundation for the development of the e-learning
platform and delivery of the MOOC on SSC (WP3).
- The WP3 “Development of a platform for e-learning” will deliver the MS6, MS12 by developing
and delivering a MOOC on SSC in two releases:
- 1st release: for the students of the academic partners, as well as the associated partners and
municipalities supporting the project
- 2nd release: globally disseminated
- The implementation of training the trainers programmes (WP4) The WP4 “Development of
training the trainers” will deliver the MS4, by developing seminars for faculty members on:
- how to use the SSC-related education database to develop relevant courses
- how to design new ICT-based teaching and learning tools for SSC

- In parallel with the Development phase, there will be Quality Assurance (WP7), the
Dissemination Activities (WP8) and the Project Management (WP9) to guarantee the effectiveness and efficacy of the project outcomes delivery and proper dissemination of the results.
- The WP7 “Quality Assurance” will create and implement an evaluation measuring system for
project success.
- The WP8 “Dissemination Activities” will deliver the MS13 by promoting four regional
dissemination conferences in Latin America.
