PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT ◼ Cloth face coverings preferred, disposable masks available for specific needs. ◼ Specialized equipment for those providing direct care or supporting daily living tasks. ◼ Equipment for school nursing staff and health educational assistants to increase safety when working with symptomatic students AVAILABLE FOR INSTRUCTIONAL STAFF ◼ Additional Disinfecting in Spray Bottles ◼ Increased Hand Sanitizing Stations (some portable) when hand washing is not an option. ◼ Plexiglass barriers in high traffic areas or to provide certain services safely to students

CLEANING & DISINFECTING PLAN ◼ We will follow the CDC, DPI, and La Crosse County Health Department protocols for the cleaning and disinfecting of our facilities. ◼ We are working with the building administrators to identify frequencies for disinfecting throughout the day. ◼ We are looking at staff and schedules to address the recommendations and guidelines by the State and County to keep our facilities as safe as possible. ◼ We are making mechanical changes that can help with the disinfecting and air exchanging in our facilities. ◼ We are planning custodial staff development and training specific to the COVID-19 virus.

  9. OTHER SAFETY MEASURES ◼ Increasing handling of outside air. ◼ Training for staff and students on general virus information, new procedures, mitigation strategies, and reinforcing new expectations through PBIS. ◼ As feasible, outdoor education is preferred when combined with other safety measures. ◼ Limiting visitors to only essential. All visitors must wear a mask. ◼ An “isolation room” will be designated at all school buildings and open offices so that anyone who experiences Covid-19 symptoms or feels unwell, can be isolated from others while additional steps are taken to seek care. ◼ Rearranging seating in classrooms and offices to allow for 6 feet of space, as feasible. ◼ Regular cleaning and disinfecting in classrooms, following public health guidance in cleaning after exposure. ◼ Increased cleaning of high touch areas
