Short history of the Alabama Greece Initiative
- 2010 and 2012. Brief study abroad programs for students
were organized by professors from the College of Arts and Sciences in cities of Greece as Dr. Tatiana Summers (Modern Languages & Classics)and Dr. Russell McCutcheon (Religious Studies).

Professor and Dean Robert Olin funded the UA Department of Religious Studies to bring two Greek doctoral students to Tuscaloosa for one semester (Vaia Touna and Spyros Perakis) to work as Instructors with UA faculty members.

Summer 2011: Visit of Tatiana Summers to AUTh and discussion on establishing collaboration between our Universities. Preparation of the visit of Dean Olin next year.
