SLIDE 6 BFF Epidemiological Focus
- Preference given to projects that focus on treating or
managing white-nose syndrome at the leading edge of the disease.
- Note: this does not preclude work in other areas which
advance the BFF RFP goals and objectives.
- Resource: Defeating White-Nose Syndrome: A Vision for
the Future (2015)
- International applicants and projects – must have a clear
tie to and benefit US populations of bat species

SLIDE 9 Full list of 11 project metrics can be found within the BFF RFP. Select only metric(s) relevant to your project, that can be reasonably accomplished in the BFF project performance period Must select at least 1 of the 11 metrics Potential metrics related to:
- Best Management Practices “BMP”
- Monitoring
- Research studies
- Survivorship
- Disease control
If you want to add a metric not on the official list include it in your proposal narrative in the solution or goals/objectives section.

encouraged – more match can provide a bump in evaluation

TIPS
- Start pre-consultations with relevant agencies as soon as possible
- Secure landowner permission and document this (via email or letter)
- Plan and budget time and resources needed to obtain necessary approvals in BFF
workplan and budget
