Bridge/Culvert Repairs

5 Bridges/1 Culvert: Passage North, Passage East, Barrow Island, Marina, Casseekey Island & Dickenson bridges. 5 bridges are minor repairs (@ 2 weeks each) Dickenson Bridge: 2-way traffic still allowed by doing one side of the bridge at a time. (3-4 months) Project scheduled for May thru August.

Lake Health Plan

• Establish a Water Resource Advisory Committee (WRAC) to help

with determining best practices

• Strategically place littoral plants around the lake perimeter – so the

lake can better clean itself

• Stock lake with fish that help manage mosquito and midge

populations

• POA owns the land under the water
• SFWMD has jurisdiction over water in the lake
• POA obtained permit thru SFWMD to utilize lake water for

irrigation

• 10 years remaining on POA’s permit w/ SFWMD
• POA can then enter into a Water Allocation Agreement with

entities within JL

• POA has issued updated Water Use Agreements to 4 villages

and the golf club

• POA now accepting applications from any villages interested

in using lake water for irrigation

SFWMD Water Use Permit

 Annual Meeting in February. Three incumbents re-elected:

• President – Bob Kane
• Vice President – Bob Widman
• Treasurer – Dennis Dunn

 Strategic Plan approved by the Board of Directors in January.

• Five month process involving every Club Committee (approx 100 members)
• Designed to be the roadmap for the future of the Club
• To be reviewed annually and amended as necessary
• Posted on the member side of the JLGC website

 Renovations to the Old Trail property are underway.

• The Fazio Course will be completely renovated. Drainage and irrigation are a
• priority. Every green, tee, and bunker will be rebuilt and the course regressed.
• The Clubhouse will be redecorated and refreshed.

 Membership initiatives currently being worked on:

• Final year for Summer Memberships (limited to 125)
• Sports Membership dues will be raised from approx. 50% of full Golf to 75%
• ver two years. Current Sports Members have been given the opportunity to

upgrade to full golf with no additional initiation fee. Over 80 have upgraded. The Club is working to understand why approximately 360 JL Residents have chosen to not belong to the Club. Your feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

2017 Remodeled Out of The Blue 2018 Will be submitting in April for DCB approval: May:

• Re-do Electrical Panels for wet slips
• New Parking lot lights

June:

• Pavers in front of OOTB
• Remodel Bath house
• New roof on OOTB
