  32. SASMM Byla laws (N (November 2004) The Objectives of the Society shall be: 1. To perpetuate Scottish traditions and culture through education and demonstration, 2. To promote the establishment and growth of Clan societies and Scottish organizations, 3. To encourage and support Scottish events, 4. To dispense such charitable or educational assistance as is deemed worthy, and 5. To help arrange, when and where possible, the presence of a piper at any event involving a Member in good standing.

SASMM Byla laws (N (November 2004) • Several areas where Bylaws and current practice are different (to name a few) • Voting process (absentee ballot, voting at AGM) • BOD composition (and quorum) • Officer Duties and Standing Committees • And more… Bottom line: Bylaws need revision to be in keeping with current practice ( or change current practice), available to all SASMM members, and have flexibility.
