Qualifications Needed to Run for CISD Trustee

  • A U.S. Citizen
  • 18-years-old at the start date of the Term of Service
  • A resident of the district for 6 months before the filing

date deadline

  • A resident of the state of Texas for 12 months before the

filing deadline

Time Commitment as a Trustee

  • A new Trustee is required by law to have 10 hours of school

board training their first year and 5 hours of training every year following.
