YOUR WORKPLACE CAN HELP AFRICAN FARMERS END HUNGER - FOR GOOD. TONIGHT, ONE IN THREE PEOPLE IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA WILL GO TO BED HUNGRY. SHOCKING, ISNT IT? MEET EMILY Emily, her husband and their four children live in Makindu
Emily, her husband and their four children live in Makindu village, Kenya. She owns two acres
farmers group, she didn’t know the best way to use it to grow food or build a business.
Farm Africa provided the group with training, tools and high-quality seeds, and we taught the members the best ways to harvest their crops and prepare them for sale. Emily now uses her land to grow fruit and vegetables so she can feed her children three nutritious meals a day, and sells the surplus to pay for their schoolbooks and uniforms. But there are so many more farmers like Emily who urgently need your help.

LOOK WHO’S GIVING HUNGER THE BOOT AT WORK!
People often wonder what newsreaders wear under the desk, and that’s still a highly classified professional secret, but I can safely say this is the first time I have worn my wellies in the newsroom! It’s a fun campaign that people can take part in across any workplace across the country, but there is also a very serious reason for joining in, and that is that hunger kills more people than Aids, TB and malaria combined, and every penny raised by companies taking part in Give Hunger the Boot will help make a real difference to the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.
