Days of Departure

  • We will be leaving school promptly at

10.15am on Monday 1st April 2019.

  • Your child will be able to come into school

using their normal mode of school transport.

  • Students will be able to leave their bags in

the dining room on arrival and they will be packed onto the buses by staff.

  • Please provide them with a packed lunch

and snacks as the first meal we are provided with is tea. If you normally receive a free school meal then lunch will be provided by Maplewell.

  • Transport to Walesby will be provided by our

school mini buses.

  • Please ensure your child travels in school

the dining hall on call.

hall for independent sleepers.

Electronic Devices

  • Devices can be taken if you wish but they are

the sole responsibility of the student.

  • If they bring a mobile phone we kindly request

that you remove SIM cards from phones.

  • Devices can then be used for games in their

social time etc

  • We understand that these devices may

provide the home security some students may crave.

  • These will be kept in the staff bedroom and
  • nly given out during social times.
  • They will be able to use them in the dining

room area and charge them there if required.

3 Day Kit List

Spending Money

  • There is a little shop on site selling

sweets, drinks, souvenirs etc which students will be able to visit at set

  • times. This is normally after tea for

approximately 15mins.

  • We recommend a maximum of

£10.00 spending money.

  • A member of staff will act as the

bank and keep students money, only distributing at specific times.

Medical

  • You will be sent permission forms via school
  • transport. This must be returned swiftly.
  • A large envelope/bag will be sent home and the

medication must be returned in this envelope/bag.

  • All medication to be complete with the pharmacy

label showing child’s name, name of medication, dosage required and sent in via the bus/taxi escort. This ca be on the day or a few days prior to leaving.

  • If your child has asthma they need to bring TWO
  • inhalers. One for the instructor and one as a spare.

The Journey Home!

Group 1 (Mon-Weds)

  • We will be taking part in dry activities

until 12.00pm on the day of departure.

  • Students will be provided with a packed

lunch to be eaten in the lodge before departing at 1pm, in school uniform.

  • We anticipate arriving back between

2.20pm.

  • Students will take part in lesson 5 and

review time in their activity groups.

  • Students will return home on their usual

school transport.

  • If we are late and miss school transport,
  • ur mini buses will deliver students

home later on. We may ask parents to pick up if possible. Group 2 (Weds-Fri)

  • We will be taking part in dry activities until

12.00pm on the day of departure.

  • Students will be provided with a packed lunch

to be eaten in the lodge before departing at 12.45pm, in school uniform.

  • We anticipate arriving back between 2.10pm.
  • We may send the mini bus with all the bags in

early so we can unload back at school in time for a 2.30pm finish.

  • Students will take part in lesson 5 and review

time in their activity groups.

  • Students will return home on their usual

school transport.

  • If we are late and miss school transport, our

mini buses will deliver students home later on. We may ask parents to pick up if possible.
