WorkshopQ – WHO WE ARE

We design. We create. We visualize. We find the chaos in the calm. We find the bumps in the seamless. We see the incoherent in the coherent. We upcycle. We recycle. We sustain. We find what we can upcycle. We find what we can not upcycle as well. We experiment. We design. We create.

OUR PROCESS

AWARENESS THROUGH ART

Giving more permanent solutions to our cause of UPCYCLING Under this mission of Awareness through Art’, we aim to target public spaces/events and showcase large-scale installations, sculptures and home décor products made from industrial waste to riase awareness about environmental issues that affect us in our daily lives. Breathing new life into the old & wasted was a process that excited us & we knew that the possibilities are endless with large environmental impacts. At WorkshopQ, we employ a zero waste policy where we upcycle every bit of waste, even one that is generated by us.

“Art is so much more than you think; although it can’t directly solve the problems, it shines issues in a new light”.

This 8x11 feet Art Installation at the Jaya He GVK Museum (Mumbai International Airport) is a celebration of the very traditional Marathi ‘Paithani’ weave and the discarded plastic bag. Embracing the concept of transformation and reuse as a fundamental aesthetic principle, a handcrafted fabric of waste plastic bags and wrappers made on a traditional charkha and handloom forms the base of this artwork.

Made for Ford for their corporate gifting, these smaller Ganpatis were handcrafted using Ford India’s smaller metal automobile waste parts. The entire process of sorting through their scrap, ideating these mini idols and giving it life and form through welding was a remarkable experience.
