  1. Workday Preview Presentation Frequently Asked Questions Q: What does the “quiet period” mean? A: We refer to the “quiet period” as the time it takes for us to build the Workday production system. Q: When is the quiet period? A: July 19th, 2019 (5:00 p.m.) - August 31st, 2019 Q: How does the “quiet period” affect me as an employee? A: As an employee, you will have “view only” access to the Employee and/or Manager tabs in eCampus starting July 19th. During this time, however, you will continue to have access to timesheet related items, i.e. report hours, approve hours, etc. Q: How do I process personnel related transactions such as address changes, benefit enrollments, etc. during the quiet period? A: You will be able to process personnel related transactions during the quiet period by contacting HR at ext. 4392 or via email hrservicedesk@scu.edu Q: How does the quiet period affect recruiting for staff positions? A: The quiet period will not affect any staff job posting that are posted in PeopleAdmin prior to July 16th, 2019. We highly recommend, however, that hiring managers not post new staff job openings during the quiet period, July 16th – September 1st.

  2. Q: Will faculty and staff postings be migrated from the PeopleAdmin system to Workday? A: No, we will not be migrating any job postings to Workday. Faculty and staff positions posted in PeopleAdmin prior to September 1st, 2019 will remain posted in PeopleAdmin until the position is filled or April 2020. Q: Since job postings will not be migrated to Workday, does that mean we will have two job posting sites? A: Yes, we will have both Workday and PeopleAdmin job posting sites until all of the postings in PeopleAdmin are closed/filled. Q: Since we will have two job sites active for a while will the two job site have the same level of attention applicant traffic? A: On September 1st, the Workday job posting site will become our main job posting site and most of the applicant traffic will be directed to that site. This is one of the main reasons we highly recommend not posting job openings to PeopleAdmin after July 16th, 2019. Q: Will student employment postings be migrated from the current system to Workday? A: No, we will not be migrating any student employment job postings to Workday. Any student employment postings that are active as of August 31st will be closed. Managers who wish to continue recruiting for student employee positions will need to repost the student jobs in Workday once we go live on September 1st. Q: Will I have access to HR/Payroll information after Workday goes live on September 1st? A: Yes, you will have access to view payroll and related historical data on eCampus through September 10, 2019. Q: If I need copies of my W-2’s or payslips before Workday goes live, how long do I have to print?

  3. A: Now until September 10, 2019.
