A/I Border Day-Ahead Capacity Auction • Following the meetings between TAG GmbH, Snam Rete Gas S.p.A, AEEG (Italian Regulatory Authority) and E-Control (Austrian Regulatory Authority) And • As announced during the GRI SSE Stakeholder meetings held in Milan on 05.05.2011 and in Vienna on 06.12.2011, TAG GmbH has implemented on its Website an automatic procedure to offer Day- Ahead transportation capacity on interruptible basis as pilot project creating an internet-based platform for Day-Ahead capacity at Austrian /Italian border. • The start of such activity was the 29.02.2012. • The Day-Ahead transportation capacity is offered daily via an Automatic Online Auction Event. A/I Border Day-Ahead Capacity Auction • The offered Day-Ahead transportation capacity (daily Flow Rate on hourly basis) is calculated as the difference between the technical transportation capacity and the daily nomination (on ship-or-pay basis) at the IP Austrian/Italian Border. • The participation as Qualified Shipper to the Auction Event is subject: • to the stipulation of a Frame Transportation Contract (maximum duration of one year) and • the submission of an appropriate security (e.g. Bank Guarantee). • The allocation of the Day-Ahead transportation capacity (“Flow Rate”) is executed in a single round auction (following the principle pay as you bid). • In case of equal bid price the time-stamp prevails. • The Transportation Fee is • calculated daily and • based on the allocated/booked hourly Flow Rate. Time schedule – Market survey • As discussed during the GRI SSE meeting held in Vienna on 06.12.2011 TAG has carried out an online public consultation with reference to the timing for the execution of the Day-Ahead Auctions. • Aggregate result: • Total number of respondents: 20 • 16 companies agreed to the publication in the Aggregate Results and preferred a timing as displayed on the next slide. • As a result of the above mentioned public consultation TAG has implemented the following time schedule for the execution of Day-Ahead Auctions: Page 6 GRI SSE Meeting Vienna 31.05.2012
