MEETING THE NEEDS OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES

LOCAL & UNIQUE NEEDS

  • Transportation
  • Distance to services
  • Lack of education institutions
  • Lack of skilled workers
  • First Nations
  • Higher barriers

Defining smaller areas for SSM’s in the Northwest is best to manage these needs at a local level.

slide-15

LOCAL COLLABORATION

We have partnered with Contact North to expand our workshops to be online through their system.

slide-16
SLIDE 16

ONLINE DELIVERY CHANNEL

We have great ideas to create an

  • nline service delivery channel for

client’s with fewer barriers. The online channel will:

  • Improve access to clients
  • Be cost effective
  • Better prepare client’s for the

workforce

  • Accessible to clients in

remote areas

SLIDE 18

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

  • Priority should be given to

Employment Ontario organizations.

  • Those with largest capacity.
  • Proven past success and already

meeting their current goals. Thus creating transformation stability

and minimizing the disruption to clients and employers.

We believe this will give a strong foundation for future success for everyone.

OBJECTIVES

There should be a

limit on how

many delivery

  • rganizations you

can manage and how many catchment areas to create balance. Delivery sites should be

mandated. Timeframe- with

these suggestions timeframes could be a lot quicker as most delivery providers are already acting as SSM’s in some

  • capacity. Most

providers are already servicing OW and PWD client’s. What we need to

participate: Information on

budgets, timeframes, and a user friendly platform to submit the proposal.
