Who is the LPS Foundation?

Stand-alone registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization Sole purpose: Raise funds to support educating students Governed by its own Board of Directors consisting of:

  • 14 volunteer board members
  • 4 District Representatives
  • Board of Education
  • Superintendent
  • Principal
  • PTO President

Two employees:

  • Executive Director, full-time
  • Admin. Assistant, part-time
  • Over 400 volunteers

How do we raise funds for LPS?

How have LPS Schools Benefited?

  • Since our inception in 1992, LPSF has provided over $5 million to LPS schools
  • In the past 4 years alone, nearly $2 million has been provided
  • Grants to teachers to help pay for nearly anything needed in classrooms for all

subject areas;

  • Professional development so teachers can continue to learn;
  • Mental health support so staff and students have the resources necessary to

work through adversity;

  • Educational technologies such as desktop computers, Chromebooks, ipads,

Smartboards, electronic scales, advanced calculators, 3D printers, laser engravers, software and cloud-based programs, Kindles, digital drawing tablets, sewing machines, microscopes;

  • Educational resources for reading, mathematics and science programs;
  • Wellness programs such as Playworks at all elementary schools, climbing walls,

school gardens, spinning bikes, and food pantries;

  • District-wide initiatives and level programs
