Let’s talk about periods. A girl’s first period can be a daunting experience if they don’t know what to expect. My aim is to break the stigma associated with periods and educate young girls, in a fun and colourful way, to help them understand the changes that are happening in their body and how to manage them. The intention is that this guide can be used as a teaching resource or made readily available in schools, so students can gain the proper education surrounding periods.

The majority of people had limited or somewhat knowledge of their periods. They were mainly taught the basics and wanted to know more about topics such as: - How normal periods are - PMS - How each cycle can be different - How it can effect you mentally - Pain management - Different types of sanitary products and how to use them - Toxic shock syndrome
