Intimate Camps are luxury mobile camps which are booked for private and exclusive use only, almost anywhere on Tanzania’s Northern Safari circuit. Each camp is tended by a crew of private butlers, private chefs and personal tent attendants.
Intimate Camps can be set up almost anywhere on the Tanzania Northern Safari circuit. Areas where we commonly set up camps for our guests include the following:
The two most important considerations when identifying a location for an ‘Intimate Camp’ are the ability of our service trucks to reach the chosen location and the safety of our guests during their stay with us.

All of our ‘Intimate Camps’ consist of a ‘mess’ tent which is sized according to the number of guests booked and a number of en-suite accommodation tents to include a specially configured “family” tent if required. Accommodation tent numbers as well as the configuration of the beds to be provided in each are discussed and agreed upon at the planning stage of every camp.
Our en-suite accommodation tents measure 30 square meters and consist of a private verandah, bedroom area, dressing room, shower room and flush toilet. Each tent is supplied with both hot and cold water as well as electricity which is generated through a system of batteries and inverters. Aside from enjoying ample lighting, our guests can also charge their cameras, mobile telephones and tablet computers in the convenience of their own tents.
Intimate Camps also has a number of family tents which are made up of two accommodation tents joined together by a private lounge area. Measuring over 60 square meters, each bedroom has its own en-suite dressing area, shower and toilet. As with our standard accommodation tents, the family tents are supplied with both hot and cold water as well as electricity.
All accommodation tents can be set up for single, double and triple occupancy. For 4 guests or more wishing to share one accommodation unit, we recommend that you book a family tent.
