with OSET plan and construction of a new treatment plant

  • Upgrade of all septic tanks to AWTS units and the

construction of a centralised disposal field to take the treated waste

District Wide Uniform Annual Charge

  • Based on current rates model (2016/2017) - $851
  • Will cover:

– Scheme Costs; $13,800 - $16,100 per property – Operational Costs; maintenance of pumps, pumping to Omokoroa transfer pipeline, disposal costs to Tauranga City Council

Grinder Pump Ownership and Maintenance

Property owner funds and owns the grinder pump unit. Owner maintains unit. Property owner funds grinder pump and transfers it to

by the UAC.) Owner pays for the power in both cases Non-standard units – no transfer to Council

Expected Timeframes

  • By 30 April submissions to Councils draft LTP

requesting Council proceed with Te Puna West community wastewater scheme

  • By Friday 1st May – Feedback form returned to

Council

  • By December 2015 – property owner commitment to

proceed, formal Council approval, design detail and final estimate

  • 2016/2017 – scheme construction
