Yuba City Unified School District High School Graduation Requirements

Requirement 1: Pass the California High School Exit Exam (more commonly known as CAHSEE)

• CAHSEE : ELA and Math
• Must pass both sections-with a score of 350 or higher on each

(Proficient level is a score of 380 or higher so that is the target for every student!)

• First attempt is during March of sophomore year

Requirement 2: Meet or exceed the minimum 220 credit requirement

 COMMUNITY COLLEGES (Yuba, Sierra, Butte)– OPEN TO ALL  CSU – CAL STATE UNIVERSITY –Open to all students who have

met minimum eligibility. Must complete a-g courses and have at least a 2.0 GPA + test scores (SAT, ACT) to apply. Some campuses are more selective than others.

 UC – UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA –Open to all students who

 PRIVATE / INDEPENDENT / OUT OF STATE COLLEGES –

Admission requirements as well as selectivity vary. Start researching your options early to ensure the necessary coursework.

October of 11th grade
