The Historic Residential Properties John Fletcher House - C.1855 Original site of cobbler shop • Became a residence after • factor was built Abner Hosmer House -1846 Hosmer, a housewright, built • it the same year as the church Rev James Fletcher live here • when he wrote Acton’ history in 1890. He died in the 1893 factory fire.

A Master Plan for Historic Buildings Hire an architectural consultant to investigate each building, and identify the issues to fix to protect and preserve these historic assets for future generations. Church Fletcher and Hosmer Cold air / insulation issues Structural issues (Fletcher House   garage wall, door to house) Bell Tower preservation  Exterior shutters and hardware  Concord Road and Woodbury  Road entrance door review Lead paint issues  Grimshaw Room chimney Electrical wiring (for upgrade to   current best practices) Narthex window evaluation  Potential for rehabilitation into low  Window pane seal failures  income housing Brass chandelier refurbishment  Stained glass window evaluation  Master Plan will detail the work required to bring the buildings up to an acceptable level of safety and preservation, and will identify, itemize and prioritize the work to be done.

Bylaw Changes: Codifying re-alignment  Removes references to all committees from the Bylaws, except M&O, Nominating, Stewardship. This gives us flexibility to adjust committees as needed without the need to amend the Bylaws.  Eliminates Coordinating Council. This frees up valuable time for committee chairs.  Makes all references to Personnel Sub-Committee consistent (some sections of the Bylaw refer to the Personnel “Committee”).
Bylaw Changes: Church Council Makeup  Senior Minister becomes a non-voting ex-officio member  Personnel Sub-Committee no longer a separate seat on the Council (represented by the Trustee seat)  M & O Committee seat added to Council  Moderator can be elected up to 3 consecutive 1-year terms
