Astori Salesian College Welcome to my school!!
School subjects Hello my name is Laura and I’m attending the first year of secondary school ( 1 grade ) . Astori Salesian College is a private school for boys and girls from 6 to 18 years old: it’s a big school! My favourite subjects are English plus and History but I also appreciate Music, Art, Technology, Religion. I love playing volleyball during P .E. in our big gym and discovering the world with Geography. Geography lessons are very interesting and they are all in English, that’s really cool! W e do a lot of English lessons: grammar, culture and geography of course! I think that we are very lucky ! W e have also several laboratories in our school and we use them very often: we discover the human body in the Science laboratory, we do experiments in the Robotic lab, and we learn to use computers in the I.T. laboratory, we use iPads for lessons and self activities in the iPad room. It’ s a very funny way to study!
Our school day W e go to school from Monday to Friday. Lessons start at 8.10 and they finish at 3.50. W e have three lessons in the morning and two lessons in the afternoon. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes. Every morning before starting the lesson we have a special 10 minutes moment called “ Good morning” where we talk and we think about the problems of the world and how to solve them in our community. It takes place in the theatre or in the church of our school. After school, in the afternoon, many of us stay here to do some activities: there are many clubs like Spanish club, karate club, choir club, drama club...
Food, glorious food Our school has got a big canteen. It has got a big kitchen where they prepare delicious food and the menu is di ff erent every day! W e always have many choices of main, second and side courses. I love W ednesday as they serve pizza and French fries too. 🤥 W ednesday seems to be the lucky day as if we want we can join Prof. Carraro with English lunch: it’s an easy and funny way to eat talking only in English with our teacher of Geography and English Plus. There is also a bar for a quick lunch if you need. W e go to lunch at 12.35 and we have a long break to recover our energy and being ready for the afternoon lesson that starts at 2.00 p.m. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL AS WHEN YOU ENTER YOU FEEL AT HOME!
