Transition to DCIS

  • Administrators and Counselors went to visit 4th graders at each elementary site
  • 4th graders came to visit DCIS for tours, entertainment and lunch (week of April 30th)

  • 2018-2019 will be our 7th school year for DCIS
  • Approx. 1000 students
  • Approx. 75 staff members
  • 4 core teams per grade level
  • Buzzer System for doors

Bus Riders
 Arrival and Dismissal

  • Students who ride the bus are

dropped off and picked up on the north side of the building.


 *When students arrive they go to the cafeteria or gym depending their team. All students are dismissed to 1st period at 7:25am.

Car Riders

  • Car-riders get dropped off in the

front of the building. Our car line splits into 2 lines.

  • Students need to be ready to get
  • ut of the car as soon as you pull

into the parking lot….backpacks and hugs!

  • We unload 10-12 cars at a time.

Students need to get out of the car when we wave them out.

  • When leaving the parking lot, you

must turn RIGHT

  • Our motto is “Pull Forward!”

Car Riders

  • Car-riders get picked up in the

  • Students are responsible for

looking for their car as we do not call car #s or have car tags.

  • Duty teachers help students

watch for the cars and stop the car line to fill 10-12 cars at a time.

  • When leaving the parking lot, you

must turn RIGHT

  • Our motto is “Pull Forward!”


*If you choose to not go through our car line, you can park in the PAAC parking lot, but you MUST get out of your car and walk to the bridge to meet your child who will be with our teacher on duty.

Lockers-Backpacks-Totes

  • All students need to either bring a backpack or a
  • tote. Totes are preferred due to easy access to

supplies.


  • 5th Grade students share a locker as it is used

more for a “cubby” to keep their coat and bag. 
 5th graders do NOT need a lock!


  • 6th Grade students are assigned individual lockers

and DO need to bring a lock!
