16 Career Clusters
- Fab Lab courses are for the inventors, tinkerers, graphic
designers, builders, engineers, entrepreneurs, budding programmers, and prop makers
- Remodeled room in north hallway to serve as an extension to
current science and technology classroom spaces
- Equipped with multiple 3D printers, laser engravers, CNC mills,
vinyl cutters, microprocessors, 3D scanners,and other programmable electronics
- Students can learn to operate equipment for use in projects in
related to STEAM course work
Introducing the Warrior Center for Digital Fabrication and Design
- Courses offered as a set of guided independent engineering and
design challenges
- Any interested student should take Principles of Engineering with
Digital Fabrication and Design
- Students interested in 2 or 4 year engineering, design, or
technology career pathways should also take Advanced Engineering with Digital Fabrication and Design
- Independent Study in Engineering and Digital Technology allows
students to design their own projects for academic credit

- Replaced class rank as it is a measure not controlled by the student

Our Day: Welcome to the RLHS Block
- Term and Block
- Blocks are 82 minutes in length
- 4 blocks in a day
- Resource/Homeroom period
- 4 terms in a year
- Most courses meet everyday for a term
- Most courses are worth ½ credit

- Students may sign up for 16 courses
○ 4 blocks per term times 4 terms ○ 2 study hall maximum - study halls have no credit value
- A student may earn 2 credits/term
○ 4 blocks @ ½ credit each
- A student may earn 8 credits/year
○ 4 terms @ 2 credits per term

- Credit is earned at the end of terms 2 and 4 (½ credit per

○ New classes each term ○ Different teachers likely each term
- Parent Teacher conferences are held each mid-term
- Get involved as students and parents
- Use Skyward to check grades and communicate with
teachers
Graduation Requirements
- Earn 26 credits
○ 15.5 credits are required by subject areas ○ 10.5 credits are electives ○ Academic & Career Plan completed ○ Wisconsin Required Naturalization/Civics Exam
- All classes are awarded credit except for study hall
- A student can:
○ Earn 8 credits each year (with no study halls) ○ 8 credits x 4 years = 32 credits
Requirements by Department
- 4 credits of English
○ English 9 (1 credit) and English 10 (1 credit) ○ 1 credit each in both grades 11 & 12
- 3 credits of Social Studies
○ American Citizenship 9 (½ credit) ○ US History 10 (1 credit) ○ World History or AP European History (1 credit) ○ Economics (½ credit)
- 3 credits of Math
Requirements by Department
- 3 credits of Science
○ Option 1 ■ IPS Laws of Chemistry, IPS Laws of Physics, Biology Blue, Biology Gold (grades 9 & 10) ■ 1 additional credit of Science ○ Option 2 ■ Opt out of IPS Laws of Chemistry & IPS Laws of Physics ■ Biology Blue and Biology Gold (grade 9) ■ Conceptual Physics Blue and Gold and Chemistry (grades 10-12)
Requirements by Department
- 1 ½ credits of Physical Education
○ Phy Ed 9 & 10 (1 credit) ○ ½ credit of Phy Ed sometime during 11th or 12th grade
- ½ credit of Health
- ½ credit of Freshman Success

What Can Be Expected

and St. Joe’s (next week)
- Students and parents will get a Course Verification
in February/March
- Corrections should be directed to the high school by
the indicated deadline
- Final schedules will be available over the summer
- New Student/Parent Orientation in the fall
- Freshman Only First Day of School
