 Who we are A ministry of Arlington Baptist Church, specifically, a Christian school created to train young people to impact society  Vision for the year Implement our reading program to boost reading levels  Challenges Communication – PTO Quarterly Newsletter  Achievements/Academic Updates/School News
The Parent Teacher Organization will act as a collaborative partner help support with the Administration to the educational and fundraising needs of Arlington Baptist School.
 Introduction of PTO Leadership Team Nikita Lemon, President Shawn Robinson, Vice President Erika Maynor, Treasurer  Teacher Representative Mrs. Ella Fernandez, Secondary School Teacher
Goals: Raise for new playground Increase parent participation and engagement Plan activities for students and families throughout the year Support ABS teachers and staff
Upcoming Events  Grandparents Day (October 25, 2019)  Family Movie Night (Featuring “The Star” November 22, 2019)  Elementary School Exhibition Basketball Games (Dec. 2019)  Christmas Gift Bag Project (Collection to begin in Dec 2019)
Upcoming Events  Doughnuts with Dad (Jan 2020)  Muffins with Moms (May 2020)  Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4 – 8, 2020)
Volunteer Committee Will help recruit parent volunteers for home games, chaperone field trips, and provide as needed support for various school activities. All volunteers will need to take a background check which is handled through the Business Office. Communications Committee Will help create flyers, promote activities and events, work on the PTO newsletter. Planning Committee Help plan the list of activities and fundraisers for the 2020 -2021 school year.
