Physical description Washington's area is 71,303 (sq long miles). That's a lot of area. Their large rivers are really big. They are Columbia river,Snake river,and Yakima river. Talking about rivers,let's talk about lakes. Those large lakes are lake Franklin D. Roosevelt and lake
- Washington. Did you know that the highest point was
mount Rainer at 14,410 ft? That's cool. I love Washington's national parks. They are cool. They are Mount Rainer,north Cascades,and Olympic.

State history Let's talk about the state history. Washington became a state in 1889 on November 11th. It was the 42nd state. Do you want to hear 3 big events that are
- history. Here's another fact: in 1805,Lewis and Clark
Reach the mouth of the Columbia river on November
- 15th. In 1832 Nathaniel Wyeth and William Sublette
pioneer the Oregon trail from the Missouri River to the Columbia river. Last,in 1848 the u.s. government creates Oregon territory,which included present-day Washington. That's some cool stuff about Washington's state history.

Fun places To go to
Do you know the fun part about Washington? There are fun places to go. There's point defiance park,it is so cool,it has a zoo,an aquarium,a Japanese garden,and replicas of an old fort and a logging camp. Washington also features beaches,hiking to the Columbia river. Trails,and a marina. Oh,there's marry hill museum of art,near gold dale. It is an art museum in a celaborate and mansion built in the 1910's and 1920's by multimillionaire Samuel hill. Ok are you ready to hear the last place? Here it is : it is the Seattle center. It includes the pacific science center from century 21, a worlds fair held in
- 1962. This is the cool part. It is 605 feet (184 meters) high.
Also,it has an observation deck. A monorail links the center and downtown Seattle.
