Construction Timeline: July 2017 to late 2019  Estimated Project Cost: $50 million  Resurface 6 miles of existing pavement on I-35  Remove and replace bridges:  Hwy 8 over I-35 ◦ Hwy 97 over I-35 ◦ I-35W over I-35E ◦ New bridge at TH 97 interchange will be a  Diverging Diamond Interchange. Update crosswalks at Hwy 97 to meet modern  accessibility standards I-35 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction  during work. I-35E and I-35W will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Access to I-35 at Hwy 8, Broadway Avenue Forest  Lake rest stop, Hwy 97/Co Rd 23 will be impacted during construction Coordination with Rice Creek Watershed District  and Comfort Lake – Forest Lake Watershed District will be key to a successful project Disclaimer: Information in this presentation is not final and is subject to change.

  4.  MnDOT Goal: Increase opportunities to DBE/TGB/Vet firms as Primes to MnDOT Contracts  TGB and Vet-owned businesses have been direct-selected by MnDOT to perform certain roles on the verification team (see Org Chart) up to a contract limit of $100,000  DBVC will have responsibility of training and mentoring the TGB/Vet firms while they are on the project. This time is billable by the DBVC.  A successful team will have strong mentorship and leadership from the DBVC that allows for the TGB/Vet firms to learn and perform the roles well.   7.  The RFP will include the exact hours that each team will bid. The responders cost proposal will show only one person for each role on the team, and use the hours provided in the RFP.   8. $100,000 TGB Contract is up Project Start Project End MnDOT TGB Contract Prime Phase 2 Summer 2017 Summer 2018 Summer 2019 Late 2019 Three options for staffing the Phase 2 roles: 1) The TGB/Vet firm can continue doing their role on the team and become a sub to the Prime 2) The Prime mentor/trainer for that role can transition into the Phase 2 role 3) A new (potentially lower cost) person can take over Phase 2 (must meet RFP requirements for the role).
