TENANT SIGNAGE DESIGN OBJECTIVES

• Tenant signage is expected to enhance and extend the

spirit of the Ventura Port area as California Coastal theme in conjunction with new painting palette.

• Sign design criteria objective is to create high quality,

creative tenant signage.

• Tenants are encourage to design a creative Font to

identify their purpose and to use dimensional letters and logos.

• Signage colors shall emulate the clean & simple color approach

and use Black or White Typestyles and/or Logo pin mounted to building exterior or on an opposite color backplate. Typestyles are encourage to be specific to the tenant.

• Signage design & geometry is to be reviewed and approved by

Landlord prior to submission to City of Ventura.

• Allowable signage area for Primary and Secondary signs

shall be per Landlord signage matrix.

TENANT SIGNAGE TYPES

PRIMARY SIGNAGE – BUILDING MOUNTED:

• Required.
• Building mounted whenever possible. Dimensional letters,

externally illuminated.

TENANT SIGNAGE TYPES

SECONDARY SIGNAGE – BLADE SIGNS:

• Required.
• Double sided metal sign mounted perpendicular to

building façade and suspended on standardized cables

• r metal brackets. Trade name or logo only, no taglines,

slogans or advertising.

TENANT SIGNAGE TYPES

OPTIONAL SIGNAGE: Choose up to two options; 1. Wall mounted plaques

• Cast metal, glass or solid wood similar to tenant directories
• No plastics, acrylic or PVC materials
• Externally illuminated only with standard Village fixture
• Location to be adjacent to main entry doors.
• No taglines, slogans, service or product description text.

2. Awning sign

• Canvas awning with tenant Trade name on awning valance
• Letters to be silkscreened, printed or sewn in contrasting

color of black or white.

• One name on main entry awning or prominent window only

3. Inlaid entry vestibule floor signs

• A pattern, medallion, letters or sign recessed flush into floor

4. Applied window graphics

• Only Trade name or graphic logo. Store description,

advertisements or tag lines not allowed.

• Entire graphic mounted no higher than 48” above floor
• Not to exceed 20% of window area.
• Submit to Landlord for review and approval.

LARGER TENANT FEATURE MARQUEES:

• Vertical or Building mounted signs to be used
• nly at specific locations to identify and

emphasize visually prominent Tenants.

• Tenant shall provide a very high quality

design and presentation to Landlord for review and approval.

• Open pan-channel letters and logos with

exposed neon illumination

• Reverse pan-channel letters and

logos with halo illumination

• Three-dimensional, artistically

sculpted object signs

PEDESTAL MOUNTED MONUMENTS 1. Cor-Ten steel slab, laser cut kelp imagery 2. Edge lit acrylic tenant signs and directional arrows. 3. Non-illuminated acrylic Ventura Harbor marquee at edge 4. Concrete pedestal with flush LED up lighting. 5. Multiple strategic locations
