Vehicle Sa Sanit itizing Always Follow Manufacturer’s Instructions

  • Protect Yourself. Use gloves, other required PPE and work in a well ventilated

area.

  • Clean. Remove visible dirt and debris. Use a cloth dampened with soap and

water on hard surfaces; vacuum carpet before cleaning with a carpet detergent.

  • Sanitize (or Disinfect). Many interior vehicle surfaces can be cleaned with a cloth

dampened with isopropyl alcohol (at least 70% alcohol).

  • Non-bleach disinfectant on EPA’s List N is usually safe as long as it is approved

for the surface. Check your product: https://www.epa.gov/pesticide- registration/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2-covid-19

  • Touch Screens and Electronics. Turn off first and

use screen wipes (not anti-microbial) or a soft cloth dampened with soap and water. Dry the screen with a clean, soft cloth.

  • Vinyl and Leather. Materials with a protective

coating are usually safe to clean with alcohol

  • ccasionally but over time alcohol may cause

discoloration or damage.

  • Safer alternative is soap and water.
  • Conditioner helps prevent UV damage on vinyl,

hard plastics and leather.
