Liberal Studies Requirements *To be completed prior to graduation Communication Part B • Literature (at least 3 credits) • Science (6 credits of courses designated as “B,” “N,” or “P”) • Foreign Language (3 units of the same foreign language) • (1 unit = 1 year in HS or 1 semester in college) Complete one ethics course (Philosophy 241, 243, • 341 or 441) Ethnic Studies (at least 3 credits) • Humanities (at least 3 credits) • Social Science (at least 3 credits) • 8

  8. Course Selection • Students should focus on pre-business and liberal studies courses at their transfer institution • Remind students to use TIS or TED if possible! • Students interested in actuarial science should complete Calculus 1, 2, and 3, if possible 9

Application “Nuts and Bolts” • Yearly admission cycle = application due in the spring for fall entry • Application o Opens March 15 th , 2017 @ 8:00 am o Closes March 24 th , 2017 @ 4:30pm o No late applications will be accepted for any reason o Many different access points from the BBA web pages: http://bus.wisc.edu/bba/admissions/apply • Submit 1 page Resume and 2 essays • Once submitted, application IS complete o DO NOT have to finish in one sitting 10

Routes to BBA Admission • Non-Direct Transfer Process (Pre-Business) Complete at least 12 credits in residence (at UW-Madison) as L&S o student Complete 4 pre-business courses by term of application o • Direct Transfer Option Available to students currently attending or transferring from any o UW System and/or Wisconsin Technical System School Complete 4 pre-business courses at transfer institution by term of o application (use TIS) Apply to UW-Madison AND BBA Program (2 separate applications o for fall semester entry) 11

Admission Eligibility Policies 86 Credit Limit/Rule • Registered student at time of application • Minimum cumulative GPA = 2.75 • We DO consider spring grades o Apply up to 2 times • Cannot defer admission • Cannot have already earned a Bachelor’s degree • ** Petition for Special Consideration: March 1 Deadline ** 12
