SVS ONLINE Uploading Slides and Recording Audio Before You Begin • SVS staff are ready to assist or answer questions. education@vascularsociety.org • You must include a disclosure slide as the second slide in your slide deck. If you have no relevant disclosures, simply indicate “Nothing to disclose.” Slides should not contain industry logos. • Your slides will be uploaded directly from your computer to the system. • It may take up to 5 minutes from the time you upload until they are processed and available for your audio recording session. • Supported formats: .ppt, .pptx, .pps. ppsx, .key, .pdf • Videos and animations are not supported in the PowerPoints. • If you decide to retract your file, you may remove the content from displaying in the website by clicking on the “delete this file” link within the up load task where you made the initial submission. • You may re-upload new files in the future if you need to revise what you have already uploaded. Log Into the Platform Your login information has been provided to you through an email. Submit Your Presentation Slides • Select “Browse” and find your slides on your computer • Once the file path to the slides has been entered in the Browse field, click “Submit Files” Processing Slide upload and process will begin immediately, but may take up to 5 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the uploaded file. Access to the uploaded PowerPoint will not be available until slide processing has been completed. Recording PowerPoint Slides in Cadmium 2 | P a g e

  3. Recording Your PowerPoint Audio Before You Begin • Your talk will have an assigned overall time limit. This time limit will be listed on your audio recording page. Your overall audio recording must fit within that time limit. • An audio recording timer will show throughout the recording session to help you track the available and remaining time as you progress. • Preparing your computer for recording o You must allow access to your microphone. Please test the computer to ensure your microphone is not turned off and is accessible for recording. Review the first recording to ensure your audio is being captured. o A visible audio detection bar will light up green when the microphone detects sound. If the bar does not turn green and follow the volume changes of your voice, then your microphone is not picking up sound. Locating Your Audio Task • Locate and Click on “Presentation Audio” on the Task List Recording Your Audio • On the “Presentation Audio” page, locate your uploaded slides. • Each slide in your presentation will be represented separately. Recording Your Audio • Click on the slide for which you will record audio. • The slide will open in a larger window • When you are ready to record, click on “Start Recording” o You may first see a popup message asking if you would like to “Let www.conferenceharvester.com use your microphone ?” Select YES to allow access. • If you do not wish to have audio on a slide, simply start recording and make no sound. The length of your silent recording will be the amount of time that attendees will see the slide until the recording moves to the next slide. • The audio recording session will track time as you progress. • When you have finished your audio for that slide, select “Stop Recording.” As you record, the maximum recording time will be shown, and the time used will be tracked. \ Reviewing Your Slide Audio • Upon completing the recording for the slide, you will be able to review the audio by selecting the play arrow. • Y ou can choose to “Save the Recording” or “Delete” and re -record. • The time use for the slide will be shown. • Once you Save the Recording, you will automatically progress to the Next Slide. Reviewing Your Slide Deck Recording • Upon completion of the last slide, you will be returned to the main menu of the Presentation Audio page. • All slides with saved recordings will show a green border — this includes slides for which silence was intentionally recorded. • Slides with no recorded audio are not highlighted in green. You will need to click on those slides to complete the audio recording before you recording session is completed. Slide audio not recorded Completing Your Presentation Audio • Select “Complete Task” at the top of the page when you have completed all slide audio recordings. • Your Tasks list on your Profile page will show your task completion status as completed (green checkmark).
