§ Students dismissed from campus under order § Focus of Health Department investigations is shifted Community Spread – High Risk Contact § Under Shelter in Place, schools cease role in EOC Communication
P-22 Program § Program specialists partnered with teachers to develop personalized remote learning lesson plans for each student. All lessons, materials, and supplies mailed to families on Monday, March 23rd. Early Start § Staff are in communication with all families. Awaiting guidance from legal counsel and CDE on the best practices methods to serve families remotely. Canyon Oaks § Teachers developed paper-based personalized lessons for each student and delivered instructional materials to clinical staff.
Staff in all programs are participating in IEP meetings for all students via Zoom.
Gateway § T eachers developed paper-based personalized lessons for each student and mailed all instructional materials to families. Every family was contacted by their student’s teachers (with translation support when needed). Hillcrest and Kemp § T eachers developed paper-based personalized lessons for each student and delivered instructional materials to probation staff.
Curriculum and Instruction

Systems for District Improvement § Holding virtual meetings with districts to disseminate information, and provide ongoing LCAP supports via phone or virtual meetings Early Learning and Support Services § Collaborating with partners including Silicon Valley Community Foundation, First 5, 4C’s, Build Up, etc. on funding for pressing needs like technology for staff to communicate and support student learning remotely § Supporting 4C’s efforts to identify providers with openings for emergency care and support/encourage providers who are open to stay open

§ Governor loosened allowable Special Ed Timelines for assessment plan development and access to copies of records upon request. Timelines for Special Education assessment, IEPs, Annuals and Triennials are not included in this waiver, as these are Federal IDEA timelines. § Guidance from US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs, and Office for Civil Rights released on March 17th. This advice must be the first consideration as it relates to services, timelines for IEPs, assessments, and other IDEA-related issues. § SELPA continues to provide support, technical assistance, and communication, and is scheduling LEA meetings via Zoom or phone.
