As a member of the G20, Indonesia is not a poor country anymore. However, millions of Indonesians still live in poverty and don’t have access to adequate healthcare. The gap between rich and poor is a major problem which leads to a lack of healthcare services in remote areas of the country. These facts show struggles and difficulties faced by our government in evenly distributing healthcare and public services.

As Indonesian citizens with integrity, we asked ourselves how we can help to empower local people and help them improve their welfare.

What do most people need?

Are we able to fulfill the needs?

Could our programs be implemented?

Do we have human resources to implement the programs?

To meet all of these difficulties, we created a Floating Hospital from a traditional Indonesian ship made of wood.

• We strongly believe that the Floating Hospital is one of the tools to solve the medical problems in Indonesia.
