Vision: Elgin High School strives to educate, empower and equip all students to become compassionate, contributing citizens in an ever changing world. Mission: Elgin High School aspires to be a leading, innovative, high-performing school that values diversity and tradition. All students will graduate with the skills necessary to be prepared for lifelong success as active and valuable members of a global and ever-changing world. School Goals:
- 1. At the end of each semester of the 2019-2020 school year 85% of Freshman students will earn a C or
better in all three areas of Math, Science, and English.
- 2. Increase the percentage of students meeting proficiency levels on SAT performance in ELA and math
from 18% to 21% and EL students from 0% to 3% using research-based, EL strategies, school-wide and standards-based learning and assessments.
- 3. 90% of Senior students in the post-secondary pilot program will apply for FAFSA, apply to four
post-secondary institutions, and submit a Google form to verify completion of each by May 2020.
- 4. Increase the percentage of students graduating in four years from 76% to 80%.
