TRAPPED IN MORIA GREECE Arrivals in 2019: 45,597 (last update 29 Sep 2019) Some 24,000 men, women and children are trapped on the Greek islands in horrendous conditions LESBOS 13,000 people in Moria camp designed for 3,000 40% children , including 1,000 unaccompanied minors MSF’S CLINIC 100 child consultations / day 73 mental health referrals: 3 attempted suicide; 17 self-harming; 10 under the age of 6, with the youngest just 2 years old (July/August 2019) 100 complex or chronic medical conditions
VACCINES: HUMANITARIAN MECHANISM • A new humanitarian mechanism for vaccines has been used for the first time in Europe • MSF vaccinated refugee children in Greece with the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine at an affordable price • More vaccines must be included in the humanitarian mechanism
