Uniform Traffic Ticket (UTT eTicket)

An updated electronic version of the UTT eTicket is being implemented to replace the current paper tickets. This eTicket data is keyed in on-site and submitted directly to the DPS data system. At the same time a paper copy is provided to the violator. Once the violation is adjudicated, appropriate eTicket data will be transmitted electronically to SCDMV for application to the driver’s record. When DMV receives and verify the data on the ticket against the DMV customer database, it will electronically post the data to the driver’s record and capture the ticket facsimile in the document system for future reference. This process will replace the current method of receiving paper tickets in to the DMV office for manual application to the driver’s record and will be applied for any jurisdiction that employs the eTicket function.
