Title I Schoolwide Program means… Additional funding for our school • From the No Child Left Behind Act • To help all students achieve state standards • Coordinated and integrated with other programs • A portion of the funding is reserved to directly support family engagement activities
Title I Schoolwide Program supports… Schoolwide Reform Strategies • Interventions for struggling students • Professional development for teachers • Supplies, materials, & technology High Quality Teachers • 100% of teachers are to be highly qualified in the area in which they teach
Title I Schoolwide Program supports… Family Engagement • Parents’ Right to be Involved ✓ Programs & activities for families • Parents’ Right to Know ✓ Information about student’s achievement ✓ Notice if taught by substitute teacher for 4 or more weeks ✓ Information about professional qualifications of student’s classroom teacher (upon request)
