  10. � In 2011, CAA completed 49 accreditation reviews: � ◦ 10 Audiology programs ◦ 39 Speech-Language Pathology programs � Of those reviews: ◦ 42 programs were re-accredited for 8 years ◦ 1 program was awarded initial accreditation ◦ 3 programs were awarded candidacy ◦ 1 program was placed on probation ◦ 1 program was removed from probation ◦ 1 program was deferred for additional information CAA Update November 2011 10

  11. � The following standards/areas were cited most often in 2011 by the CAA as non-compliant or partially compliant: ◦ 1.3 – development and implementation of long-term strategic plan ◦ 1.7 – current, accurate, and readily available public information about program and/or institution (aka the “Halling Standard”) ◦ 2.2 – faculty sufficiency ◦ 5.1 – formative and summative assessments ◦ 5.3 – ongoing assessments of program effectiveness and use of results for program improvement ◦ 6.4 – sufficiency of clerical and technical staff, support services, and library and technology resources CAA Update November 2011 11
