Then and Now

20 years ago there wasn’t a mechanism in place to share resources across the county…

Now there is: A national agency comprised of 27 community agencies coast to coast helping Canadians with epilepsy

Slide 4 NP13 In the speaking notes, can we change "individual and group counselling" to individual and group support"? From my Ontario survey, most of the agencies here explicitly do not provide counselling. Counselling means something very specific. We don't want doctors to start referring patients to us for counselling we don't provide.

PR1 done!!!

Slide 5 NP4 There are two lines about expressing the concerns of people with epilepsy. Should remove at least one. This is one of the things I'd like to talk to you about. I think this could be tightened up and I'm not sure that the way it's expressed is complete accurate (e.g. we don't revise the terms for epilepsy, we promote the ILAE's revised terms. Are partners the community agencies? Do they develop new topics or new material? Once this list is edited down, I would add space between the bullet points

Nikki Porter, 9/7/2018
